So I read in Yahoo news yesterday, but have seen nowhere else, that National Public Radio is going to forcibly retire Bob Edwards from Morning Edition. I still haven’t recovered from when my local NPR affiliate cancelled Thistle and Shamrock. This is going to turn me into a basket case. Edwards has conducted an estimated 20,000 interviews for them. Now they are going to put him out to pasture because they say the program needs a fresh voice. Call me a stick-in-the-mud, but i like Colonel Bob’s voice. Oh the indignity of it all.

yeah, i read that the other day and i thought it was pretty stupid. so did this commentator at salon.
