Alex is the pastor of Franktown United Methodist Church on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. He is the author of Hard Times Come Again No More: Suffering and Hope [Abingdon Press, 2010] and three other publications for Abingdon (Restless Hearts: Where Do I Go Now, God? and two books in the series entitled What's In the Bible and Why Should I Care.) He is a regular writer for the FaithLink curriculum. Alex teaches theology and history for the Perkins School of Theology Course of Study School in Dallas, Texas. He is a kayaker, swimmer, father and husband.
