Acknowledging that many of our readers will be participating in hours of fall parent/teacher
conferences around the time that this issue hits their mailboxes, we’ve decided to encourage you to share some of your experiences with each other. All you need to play Parent/Teacher Conference bingo is the gameboard below, a marker, and a way to subtly indicate to your colleagues the progress of your research without distracting the parents (i.e., three loud sneezes in a row, instead of the usual two; feigning appendicitis; or using the office intercom to make a coded announcement if conferences are held in separate rooms). The winner will have his or her miscellaneous duties (i.e., hall, lunch, recess, etc.) covered for the next week.
